i agree with the quote, for i think travel makes individual rich. it means that you can see differnt cultures,people ,and languages by travel. it can experience more than STUDY a travel book. Some people get tired of working ;they would like to change of pace so they travel to relax. Also, i heard some authors seek for ideas of writing a book by traveling because travel can inspire our mind and enrich soul as well.

    You're right, but my favorite thing to do is read a good book about a place that I'm going to. I love to get a feel for the culture and history before I go; it makes the trip richer.

    Hi Penny, I think that you have a good thought about traveling. I agree with Mr. Herbst that we need to find out about culture, history, and geology of places before we take a trip.
